Alert for the Shopaholics!

For this excursion I went to Garden State Plaza Mall in Paramus, New Jersey. Every time a person watches TV there is a commercial saying that there’s a 30%-50% off on some clothes for women or men, and women. Also, sometimes in mail people get coupons of $10 off if one buys up to $50. This time the mall was not crowded as it usually is because is not Saturday. However, there were more women shopping or looking around with kids or by themselves.
My first stop was Nordstrom. There were few people and mostly women with kids trying some shoes on. I first went to the women’s section, and it was very colorful since now we are in the Spring season the Neon colors are trending. There were a variety of shirts, a solid color shirt costs $19, then I found in the clearance rack was $12, but I did not find anything less than that. There were some scarfs on the table for only $18. The dresses for $50. Although, some prices like jeans were $120, $110, and $104 for women only. On the other hand, on the man's section  there were shirts for $70. the price range of shirts were between $30-$60, the jeans were $165.
My next stop was Hollister, I usually have never entered and bought anything in this store. In the women's section there were short shorts for $39.50, some of the shirts with short sleeves were $15 while long sleeves were in clearance for only $13; its original price was $35. Also there were some dresses for $50. I usually go to the clearance section and I found out there were some floral shirts and dresses for $28, and the jeans were $60.In contrast, on the man’s section was less crowded only two men were looking around. There were jeans for $60, and polo’s for $20, the shirts were between $24.50 to 39.50. The hoodies were $50.
My last stop was JCPenny. This store has changed, it looks so much different than before. Joe Fresh has its small section, the shirts were $19 as well as some colorful pants. Although, I found some pants same style with the only exception that it did not have small zippers at the bottom of both sides of the pants, they were only $35. For me, it was the same thing and same quality. I guess the zippers were the only difference. The women’s section in JCPenny is located in the second floor. There are variety of jeans the Levi’s jeans were $20 in clearance while the others were $40 which is its regular price. Simple color shirts were for only $12, there was different brand that shirts were only for $18.
The man’s section in JCPenny is located in the first floor with the kids’ section. It was not as empty as in Norsdtrom. There were around twenty people, women and men  and little kids. The polo’s cost $44, $20, $15 and $14, depending of the brands. The shirts were a bit cheaper than the polo’s for $12, $14, $15, $25 while the jeans were more expensive than women’s for $29, $40, and the tees were only for $12.
At the end of this excursion I have realized how much clothes cost than seven years ago. Eventually, everything is going up lately that it is making the customer to buy less than before. I remember coming to the mall to buy the specials at JCPenny when I was in high school, but now they do not send mails with coupons like they used to, and its prices are a bit higher than before. Moreover, I have realized that man’s clothes cost more than women. I believe is because of the quality of the material, and those suits are very expensive almost $200. Among these three stores I went to, the cheaper and more crowded was JCPenny, they have on each rack and table the prices of their product. In contrast, the other two stores I have to look for the price which will be hidden inside the shirt.
